fokuss one Exclusive Interview:

Last month, IceBurgh Society hosted their third IceBurgh Invitational: Performance League event called MELTDOWN! Eight artists competed to win the MELTDOWN Championship chain and cemented spot in the Main Event, but only one could emerge victorious, and that winner was none other than Sauga City MC and Breaking Wreckordz MC, FOKUSS ONE. had a chance to catch up with FOKUSS ONE and get more info on the up and coming artist. Check out the exclusive interview below. Where are you from?

FOKUSS ONE: I'm from the 905 Sauga City baby! Meadowvale, MDV aaaalll day. What got you into Hip Hop?

FOKUSS ONE: Always been into music of any kind. If it has a great vibe or nice lyrics, I'll listen. I started to take part in Hip Hop in 1997, where I loved to freestyle.  It's what I stuck to but then I came to a point where I had to change the hustle up. I had two kids, and I couldnt be out there taking part in "extra-curricular activities" so I figured I could tell my life experiences or whatever I'm feeling at the time through song. How would you describe yourself as an artist?

FOKUSS ONE: I like to think I'm a well rounded artist as I hit most spectrums of the game through out my tracks. I've seen alot, done alot and got a crazy story to tell. What led to your style of delivery and beat-selection?

FOKUSS ONE: I find my style of delvery will change song to song. But it's always been hard hitting artist with alot of emphasis behind their lyrics that caught my attention so I'd say thats where my delivery comes from. When it comes to beats I'm really picky. I have to literally feel that chill that lets me know I got this, you know. How do you think you differ from other artists?

FOKUSS ONE: I find alot of dudes in the game have a pretty big chip on their shoulders. I'm a pretty easy dude to get along with unless you fxck with me. I think I have a wider selection of topics than mos people out there compared to those that ive encountered so far. Who influenced your style?

FOKUSS ONE: I've literally tried to include all styles of music in my songs. I like all music from all eras & genres. There's too many to name. What ‘s the most important item in your music collection?

FOKUSS ONE: Gotta be my instrumental collections, seeing as that's what I'm usually listening to when it comes to music. Dead or alive, who would be your dream collaboration?

FOKUSS ONE: Defs have to say Dead: Big L Alive: Jay Z. What's the most successful or highest point in your career?

FOKUSS ONE: Defs winning at the IceBurgh Invitational: MELTDOWN event, seeing as I was going up against some seasoned vets and it was my third time performing. It felt good to come out with the win. Any Final Shout-Outs?

FOKUSS ONE: Shout out to Iceburgh Society for the feature this month, for having me at Meltdown. Shout out to Stacee Brizzle and Inkster International for judgin the event. To my new production company Breaking Wreckordz & DRM Studios with Ryan Innes for the success of my new single "Get Ya Hate On". My sidekick/ ride or die chick Nikki Inkd and the MDV Support: Wes, Bash, Resin, Chadderz, Lexi & The General, for having me covered for whatever I need. And muh OGz for spreading the word bout ya bwoy!

Much love for the respect shown!
