Sapphire Steamy: I am The #6ixQueen (lol)! From Scarborough with Grenadian background and Jamaican connections. What led you to know that you wanted to be a musician?

Sapphire Steamy: I used to freestyle back in the school days. Always loved music. Started promoting, hosting and keeping parties, then managed some artists for a while. Started a record label (Steamy Worldwide Inc). I eventually decided to take music seriously from there, after staying up one night and writing 3 tracks. How would you describe yourself as a musician?

Sapphire SteamyI am an artist with bars.  I not only bring impactful lyrics, I also tell a story and use metaphors, wordplay and even switch up the dialect at times. I am a Hip Hop artist, but I challenge myself to take on different genres and master them. What led to your style of delivery and beat-selection?

Sapphire SteamyThe beat chooses me! I just go with it, and tell the stories that give the audience something to relate to. How do you think you differ from other artists?

Sapphire SteamyMy voice, lyrics, passion and confidence puts me in a separate category. I am not only an artist but a product, #6ixQueen, and I carry myself that way. I take myself and my business seriously. I believe in losing sleep and skipping meals to get to that next level. I stand out at shows, and I study my performances so that I can be better at the next show.  I am always working on new material and plan to bring major diversity in the game. Who influenced your style?

Sapphire Steamy: A number of artists have been influential. There are so many names. Mainly old school artists such as; Sizzla, Buju, Foxy Brown, Lil Kim, Biggie, Tupac, The Lox, Dipset, Trina, Hot Boyz, Canibus, Alanis Morsette, Cypress Hill to name a few. And new school artists like Vybz Kartel, Alkaline, Remy Ma, The Game, Drake, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Jah Cure, Assassin and too many more to list. What ‘s the most important item in your music collection?

Sapphire Steamy: My most important items are my tracks, and my royalties when they turn into money (lol)! Dead or alive, who would be your dream collaboration?

Sapphire SteamyTuPac. What's the most successful or highest point in your career?
