Competing emcees will be given the opportunity to battle it out for the title spot and grand prize - a $1000 licensing deal and a legendary 100 Miles hoodie (made famous when Tupac wore the design in Above the Rim). With a $1000 licensing deal up for grabs, two dates booking up fast - February 21st and February 28, and a possible third date in the works, this competition promises to showcase some of the best new and upcoming urban talent Toronto has to offer. The competition will culminate at a final event with the announcement of the winner, who will then have their song recorded with Fred E. Fame and licensed to 100 Miles Brand for one year. In addition, Fred E Fame will also host a Publishing and Licensing Seminar to educate the participants involved with the show. Fred E Fame, creator of The 5th Artist Development Agency, had this to say about the event, "The competition beat provided by producer T. Major is fire! We provide contestants with this beat and they write and perform their best hook and verse." Having recently launched an online store, 100 Miles founder, Garie Adamson is excited to provide a platform for aspiring urban artists to show off their talent. Artists who wish to enter the contest can contact Fred E Fame at The5thindustry3@gmail.com or call 647-880-6332 to sign up for one of the highly coveted performance spots still available.
