Fresh off of the release of his latest LP "Jouska" Dustin Wareham delivers hard in your face lyrics mixed in with social political undertones and a grittiness that can be compared to Zack De La Rocha of Rage Against The Machine. His work is often described as Boom Bap hip hop with hard rock production. The 80sFavoriteBabies band is a collective of some of the best indie rock musicians in Toronto, many of whom have played, or currently play in other rock bands in the city. Sandy Pearlman & Bones is a Hip Hop duo who themselves have just released an album called "Spare Parts" in summer of 2016. Fresh, young and innovative, Sandy Pearlman mix hard hip hop bass with rock and electronic elements into their tunes. Defenitly a band to keep a sharp eye on. King Calm performs his debut show with Toronto hip-hop collective, The Dirty B-Sides. King Calm is defining a new sound in alternative hip-hop, going against the grain on a DIY come-up. Teaming up with Toronto's premiere hip-hop backing band, this debut show is one to remember. You may have seen the Dirty B-Sides backing up their roster of artists includingSpek Won, Adria Kain, or Ase Ayrah Taerb at events & festivals including Camp Wavelength, Red Bull Soundselect, and The Heard Festival. The Dirty B-Sides also made waves as the 2016 CBC Sounds Of The Season event house band and continue to shake Toronto's core with what is expected of a hip-hop band. Catch them hosting Toronto's most demanding weekly Sunday cypher lounge series, The Honour Roll, the weekly Tuesday hip-hop performance workshops with The BAR Institute, as well as the free weekly Wednesday live 7/8-piece hip-hop jam session starting in 2017, the #BOOMBAPHUMPDAY, all for the community and artist development build of Toronto's independent hip-hop scene. King Calm has been patiently waiting for over a year, so this performance is going to be a big release. End the year out with a bang and catch some of the best talent Toronto has to offer inside of the Bovine Sex Club. Pre-sale tickets will be $5.00 and will be available from all artists involved. Cost will be $10.00 at the door.
